Hi Joe, thanks for the update on Twitter for medtronic, but I have to say the numbers of followers seem quite low, and my question would be are they mostly Medtronic employees? and if so, what value is there in that? and if not employees, is there a breakdown of who are the followers, and how it is growing. Christiene
On Twitter, you can check who is following that account. I just did and was surprised by the number of “eggs” … accounts with no image or description.
Still, you can be sure reporters look at the CEO’s Twitter stream.
Think of Twitter as another tool to amplify the message. As SEOMoz Rand Fishkin says, “If you’ve got great content, search can help you. If you don’t, it can’t.”
I’d say the same for Twitter.
